Summary

  • All present governors completed the annual declaration of interest form;
  • Membership of the Governing Board was reviewed and a new Parent Governor will need to be appointed;
  • Minutes from the previous finance committee meeting (16 Jan 2023) and curriculum committee meeting (30 Jan 2023) were reviewed;
  • Alison presented the latest headteacher report;
  • School budget was shared and reviewed, noting that some of the expected ‘late’ payments form the LA have now been received;
  • School policies were reviewed and Alison shared school ‘bubbles’ document which highlights the main areas of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) for the current year;
  • Safeguarding and mental health and wellbeing were reviewed.

  • We reviewed staffing, possible gaps and how to fill positions;
  • Soft federation was considered as an option to reduce staffing costs and increase purchasing power;
  • Governors planned to partake on observation activities on site in preparation for a possible OFSTED inspection.
