Headteacher’s Welcome

Ronald Openshaw Nursery is all about providing an inclusive nursery experience for a highly diverse community within Stratford, Newham. We combine a maintained nursery school for 3&4 year olds with provision for 30 hours placements, 2 year olds and children with special educational needs

Our staff team, led by qualified teachers, delivers the Early Years Foundation Stage through PLAY with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, influenced by a Forest School approach. Children are encouraged to self-select activities and resources that interest them and staff skilfully intervene to ensure learning is extended appropriately.

I am honoured to be the head teacher of this amazing little school where the children really do come first. The care and attention to detail that staff give to every aspect of their work means that all children have the very best start to their school career.

Alison Lentz
Head Teacher
